Punica Granatum

The name "pomegranate" comes from the medieval Latin words pōmum ("apple") and grānātum ("seeded").

Pomegranate plant that grows between 5 and 10 m tall.
The juicy arils of the fruit are eaten fresh, and the juice is the source of grenadine syrup, used in flavourings and liqueurs. Punica Granatum is high in dietary fibre, folic acid, vitamin C, and vitamin K.
